Adult Forum At Shepherd of the Hills the conversation has begun and you are welcome to join in. We meet weekly between worship services to explore the word of God in an open adult forum, using the Book of Faith Study Guides and other relevant materials.  Much of what we Lutherans believe can be found in Paul's letter to the church at Rome.  In fact, Martin Luther was reading Romans when he gained insight into the fact that we do not earn our salvation, but that it is a gift from God, freely given.  If you want to learn more about the book of Romans and our Lutheran beliefs, join us during the Adult Forum Time on Sunday Mornings (9-9:45 am).  We will gather on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 9 am in classroom 3 to find out how many folks are coming so we can order the books.   If you can't make that, but hope to attend the classes, please let Pastor Barb know by September 11. If you can't make it on Sunday morning and would rather see a late afternoon or early evening Bible Study on Romans, let Pastor Barb know.  She is more than willing to teach it at another time as long as at least three people make a commitment to attend.  The topics that will be discussed are: Romans 4:9-31 "What Must I do to Be Saved?" Romans 5:1-11  "Saved by Grace....Isn't that Too Good to Be True?" Romans 6:1-23  "If What I Do Doesn't Save Me, Does it Matter How I Live?" Romans 8:18-39  "Where is God When We Suffer?" Romans 10:1-21  "How Can I Keep From Singing?" Romans 12:1021  "What Does God Want from us?"
