Monthly Calendar

The full August calendar with daily events can be viewed by clicking here. You can also see who's celebrating a birthday or anniversary this month.

Monthly Events

First Wednesday: Come one and all to a fun night of board games, cards and fellowship. Bring a friend and enjoy a family night out that won’t cost you "an arm and a leg." So pack up the kids and head on down to Schapville. Don’t have any children, not a problem, we are all part of God’s family. If you have a favorite board game bring it along and join in on the fun!

Second Sunday: "Greet and Meet" those at worship that you don't know. We'll spend a few minutes right after announcements to do this.

Third Sunday: Sing the Lords' prayer at the 10 a.m. service (for those of you who have missed doing so).

Fourth Sunday: WELCA will be selling Equal Exchange products in the Gathering Center. Help support this project. They have coffee, tea, and cocoa.

4th Annual Steak Fry

Saturday, August 21: Join us for our steak fry on August 21 from 4:30-7:00 p.m.! The menu includes a rib-eye steak, baked potato, cole slaw, dessert bars, and a drink for $10 in advance or $11 at the door. There will also be a hot dog plate available for $3. For advance orders, call 815-492-2022. The proceeds from the steak fry go to Rock House Kids, Tyler Justice Center, and Hospice of Northwest Illinois.

Youth to Lead Worship Services

Sunday, August 22: Sunday, August 22, worship will be led by the Youth from Shepherd of the Hills (grades 7-12th grade). Leigh Stoewer will be presenting a reflection on the 10 Commandments. It seemed time for a review for not only the youth but also for the adults. Please join us for worship at either the 8 or 10 a.m. service and support the youth in this endeavor.

Annual Bazaar

Sunday, September 19: Keep the date open for our Annual Bazaar on Sunday, September 19th from 11 am - 2 pm. You won’t want to miss out on the great food, quilt raffle, and our famous silent auction. Yes, Bonnie has been hard at work all year long. So mark your calendar and watch for more details in the September issue of Shepherd’s Voice.
